Two months in which I could already prepare myself intensively and deal with the topic of ultrarunning. At the time, she was only one of 5 women who had completed the race. Maria Andrews Ultramarathon Tips Last Updated: Novem3:31 pm It has certainly grown in popularity in the last few years, but what is ultra running An ultramarathon is a run that covers any distance longer than that of a standard marathon therefore, any run longer than 26.2 miles, or 42.195 kilometres is an ultramarathon. Jayasalini completed the race on her first attempt in a time of 51 days, 12 hours and 31 minutes, the first Russian woman, and also youngest female runner to do so. She ran that race every year for the next six years, invariably finishing in the top three, before starting the 3100 Mile Race for the first time in 2014. In that first year, she heard about the Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race, and was immediately inspired to apply instead she was invited to the Sri Chinmoy Ten Day Race in 2007.
